2 jours à Mancora, petite ville de bord de mer. Le Lonely Planet nous l'avait vendu comme la plus belle plage péruvienne donc on s'attendait à l'eau turquoise, au sable blanc et aux palmiers mais ce n'était pas vraiment ça. On a quand même profité d'être à la plage pour nous relaxer et nous balader dans cette petite station de surf. Il faisait une chaleur de dingue.

Nous avons ensuite pris un bus de nuit pour Gayaquil en Équateur et avons donc du passer la frontière depuis le Pérou à 3h du mat, la tête complétement en vrac. Mais apparemment pas autant que le mec de l'immigration péruvienne qui nous a tamponné notre passeport en date du 23 Avril 2012en guise de sortie du territoire. Surprise arrivées du coté équatorien car le mec de l'immigration nous a renvoyé coté péruvien pour régulariser la situation vu que l'on était QUE le 22 Avril …. Ah celle la, en un an et demi de tour du monde et en 19 frontières traversées, on ne nous l'avait jamais faite !!!

2 days in Mancora, a small seaside city. The Lonely Planet wrote about it that it was the most beautiful beach of the peruvian coast so we were expecting more charms to the seaside area : white sand, turquoise waters and palmtrees everywhere. We were a bit disappointed on this side but enjoyed the beach to relaxed after two intense months through Bolivia and Peru.

It was also supposed to be a « party place » but it was very quiet at night even though we were there on friday and saturday nights.

We also had some nice walks through the city and its artisanal markets.

We then took a night bus to Gayaquil in Equador. We had to cross the peruvian-equatorian border at 3am, completely sleepy. Apparently not as much as the peruvian immigration officer who stamped our passport on the 23 April instead of 22. Big surprise once arrived on the Equatorian side where they couldn't let us in because of that. We had to go back to Peru to regularize the situation first.

First time we have this kind of « joke » in a year and a half of travels and in more than 15 borders crossed.... !
