Nous voici désormais à Dunedin, petite ville du Sud. Il n'y a pas grand chose à y faire, ni à visiter donc on profite de notre passage dans le coin pour aller sur la peninsule Otago. La route de bord de mer était « secnic » (comme ils disent tout le temps ici) malgré une météo laissant plus qu'à désirer. Nous sommes allées nous baladées au coeur des vallées de moutons, avant de rejoindre une plage que l'on a du traverser sous la pluie pour parvenir à la colonie des Lions de mer qui y a élu domicile. Il y en avait une centaine, un peu partout perchés sur les rochers. Aucun ne s'est vraiment inquiété de notre intrusion sur leur territoire et tous ont continué leur petite sieste.
Dunedin and the Otago Peninsula
A bit further on our way to the south, we reached Dunedin. There is not much to do or visit here so after a quick walk in the city center, we decided to directly to the Otago Peninsula. The seaside road to get there was very scenic despite of the weather.
Once arrived, we went to visit a sealion colony on the beach. The walk among the sheeps valley and along the beach was amazing.
Once there, we were surprised by the hundreds of sealions on the rocks. None of them seemed to worry about us and they all continue their nap as if we weren't here !
