Wellington avec une "kiwi" family

Nous avons prit le ferry qui passe de l'île du sud à l'île du nord en 3heures pour arriver à Wellington.

Changement de décor entre les deux îles, on ressent bien la différence entre le nord plus peuplé et busy et le sud assez cool avec la nature prenant le dessus sur la civilisation.

Une amie de la mère de Just connaissait une française, Cathy, habitant à Wellington depuis quelques temps qui nous a gentiment invité à prendre le thé chez elle, puis à rester dormir une nuit, puis deux!

Nous avons passé deux jours super sympa chez cette famille Kiwi en en apprenant un peu plus sur la culture néo-zélandaise et en profitant du LUXE de dormir sur un canapé!

Ballade dans cette ville près de la mer, très jolie mais temps pourri alterné de vent et de pluie la plupart de l'année! Visite du fameux musée National Te Papa, du jardin botanique et rapide lèche vitrine!

Dur dur de quitter notre petite famille néo-zélandaise du voyage où nous nous sentions « comme à la maison » Encore milles merci à Cathy, Brent et Mia pour leur accueil chaleureux!

Wellington with a "Kiwi" family

We took the ferry to reach the Nothern Island and arrived in Wellington three hours later.

The contrast compare to the South Island was striking as the north seems to be more developped, and maybe more populated as well.

Cathy, a friend of Just's mother who is living in Wellington kindly invited us for a cup of tea. Happy to met her, we didnt expect to leave her place two days later ! :) Cathy and her husband gave us a really warm welcome and offer us to stay with them for a while. We felt like at home with this very cute family and enjoyed a lot those two days, and all the comfort of a house (specially the couch!!!)

We did some walks through the city, to the Botanical Garden and did some quick shopping. That was a really nice day despite the rain and the strong winds.

We also went to visit the New Zealand famous museum : Te Papa, which gave us a chance to learn more about the local culture and geography. It was very interactive which made it really easy to understand.
